The RadExIORSBoost project team actively participated in this year’s Science Festival in Belgrade, held from December 12-14, 2024. This event provided an excellent opportunity to promote the project and science to the general public, with a special focus on engaging young minds.
As part of the Serbian Association for Cancer Research (SDIR) exhibit, team members Ivana Matić, Nina Petrović, and Nađa Grozdanić Stanisavljević shared their expertise in experimental oncology and radiobiology within the “Talk to a Scientist” segment.
Ivana, Nina, and Nađa, all long-standing members of SDIR and associate members of the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR), presented the core concepts of the Horizon Europe RadExIORSBoost project. Attendees gained a unique understanding of their research on molecular factors for predicting side effects of radiation therapy in prostate cancer patients, opening a window into the fascinating world of scientific discovery.
The team extends its gratitude to Maja Petrović and Ivana Pasić, who volunteered their time and efforts to support the SDIR booth and engage with the public. Their contributions were invaluable in making the event a success.
