The RadExIORSBoost Twinning Horizon Europe Project team organized the third educational seminar for patients with malignant diseases titled “Personalized approach in radiotherapy: From science to the clinic” in the amphitheater of the Institute for Oncology and Radiology of Serbia (IORS) on 26 November 2025. Patients with prostate cancer treated with radiotherapy at the IORS had the opportunity to learn about the radiation therapy techniques, possible normal tissue reactions to radiotherapy, the importance of the psychological support for cancer patients, the history and activities of the Serbian Society for the Fight Against Cancer and the IORS Working Group for Patient Support, as well as about the biological response to radiation and the most important biological factors underlying individual normal tissue radiosensitivity important for personalized radiotherapy approach in the future. The prostate cancer patients received answers to the most frequently asked questions that may arise during radiotherapy.
Our third seminar was also organized in collaboration with the Serbian Society for the Fight Against Cancer and the Working Group for Patient Support of the Institute for Oncology and Radiology of Serbia.
