We are proud of RadExIORSBoost team member Dr. Katarina Kopčalić, who delivered a lecture “The most frequently asked questions of patients treated with radiotherapy” on 29 October 2025 at the Ilija Kolarac Foundation. The event was organized in cooperation with the Serbian Society for the Fight against Cancer, aiming to clarify patients’ doubts about radiation therapy in an informal and open atmosphere.
During the lecture, Dr. Kopčalić focused on two key aspects:
* Preventing Complications: Patients were given guidelines on how to work together with their doctors to prevent radiation-induced complications.
* Quality of Life: She emphasized that preserving the quality of life for patients during and after therapy is of the utmost importance and our shared goal.
The idea of interactive seminars is a key part of our RadExIORSBoost project. It has proven vital for encouraging patients to face their disease and providing optimism that their struggle can be successful. With great enthusiasm, our team continues its activities. Our ultimate goal is to contribute to developing predictive models for radiation toxicity and advancing a personalized approach in radiotherapy.
