Members of the RadExIORSBoost project team, Prof. Dr. Siegfried Knasmüller, Dr. Miroslav Mišík, and Dr. Ivana Matić, delivered impactful lectures at the international workshop “Use of Genotoxicity Methods for Human Biomonitoring: Prevention – Diagnosis and Therapy of Cancer”, held on June 6, 2025, at AKH in Vienna. This workshop was organized as a satellite event of the 53rd Congress of the European Environmental Mutagenesis and Genomics Society (EEMGS) by Prof. Dr. Siegfried Knasmüller, Dr. Miroslav Mišík, and Dr. Georg Wultsch. The event brought together leading international experts in genotoxicology and human biomonitoring to discuss research and possible clinical applications.
Dr. Ivana Matić, principal research fellow and leading researcher of the RadExIORSBoost project, had the honor and privilege of delivering a lecture titled “Use of Human Genotoxicity Methods to Assess the Radiosensitivity of Cancer Patients.” Her presentation not only shared the main methodological approaches for assessing normal tissue reactions to radiotherapy, but also effectively presented the RadExIORSBoost project concept, aims, and ongoing scientific activities to the broader international scientific community. The participation of the RadExIORSBoost team members in this event highlights our team’s contributions to sharing and advancing knowledge in genotoxicology and human biomonitoring as well as the project’s recognition at the EU and international levels.
