Institute for Oncology and Radiology of Serbia, established in 1939, is a comprehensive tertiary care cancer center. IORS is a leading national cancer research center in Serbia which provides diagnosis, cancer treatment, supportive and palliative care, education, and basic, translational, clinical, and epidemiological research in the field of oncology. IORS is actively involved in the national plans for the development of oncology in Serbia. Organisational structure of IORS, consisting of Surgical Oncology Clinic, Clinic for Medical Oncology, Clinic for Radiation Oncology, Department for Diagnostic Radiology, Department for Pediatric Oncology, Department of Nuclear Medicine, Department of Pathology, Department for Laboratory Diagnostics, Department of Experimental Oncology and Department for Genetic Counseling for Hereditary Cancers, is one of the its main strengths in the field of cancer diagnosis and treatment and innovative cancer research.
