We are pleased to announce that Prof. Dr. Marina Nikitović, a member of the RadExIORSBoost project team and Work Package Leader, is the recipient of the prestigious “Despot Stefan Lazarević” Award, a City of Belgrade award granted for outstanding achievements and contributions to the advancement of medicine.
As the lead author and editor of the textbook Clinical Oncology with Radiotherapy, she has made a significant contribution to medical education. Since 2025, this textbook has been officially adopted as core literature for sixth-year medical students in integrated academic studies, while also serving as a valuable resource for residents across various medical specialties.
Within the project, her contribution focuses on bridging clinical practice with contemporary scientific advancements, with particular emphasis on advancing radiobiological principles in radiotherapy and applying modern radiobiology to optimize therapeutic approaches. Through a multidisciplinary framework, she actively contributes to the development of innovative strategies aimed at improving treatment outcomes and facilitating the translation of scientific findings into clinical practice.
