RadExIORSBoost team members at the 62nd Oncology Congress, 14 November 2025

Members of the RadExIORSBoost Project team, Prof. Dr. Marina Nikitović and Dr. Tatjana Stanojković, successfully organized and coordinated a session entitled “From 3D-CRT, IMRT, and VMAT to Proton and Hadron Therapy: Shaping the Future of Radiotherapy” at the 62nd Oncology Congress on 14 November 2025 at the Sava Center in Belgrade, Serbia. Invited speakers were Aleksandar Stepanović, Angelica Facoetti (Italy), Mark Pleško (Slovenia), Jelena Bokun, Nina Petrović, and Ivan Jovanović.

Dr. Nina Petrović had the opportunity to present the RadExIORSBoost Twinning Horizon Europe Project activities related to the significance of transcriptome and miRNome analysis for the prediction of individual patients’ radiosensitivity (“RadExIORSBoost Exploring Individual Radiosensitivity: A Voyage Through RNA and miRNA Universe”). Dr. Aleksandar Stepanović presented the state-of-the-art approaches in radiation treatment (“Modern radiotherapy – what does the future offer us”).

This congress session was highly attended and supported by the RadExIORSBoost team members Ivana Matić, Irina Besu Žižak, Željko Žižak, Marija Popović-Vuković, Katarina Kopčalić, Ivana Pašić, and Maja Petrović from IORS, and our colleague Milica Marković from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade. The participation of the project team members at the congress significantly contributed to the RadExIORSBoost project’s visibility and impact.
